For the next year, I’m committing to writing about my nursing practice, alongside guiding people through healing land trauma within them and co-creating reciprocal relationship to the land.

This work is all related: it’s about attunement. Attunement is about listening deeply, understanding when oneself or another is in a state of pain, hurt, grief, or anger, and moving through these together. Attunement is about creating conditions where it is safe to be vulnerable, safe to heal, safe to feel. My work as a nurse was always about attunement; my work as a healer now is about attuning myself with the land and guiding others into that process; my work as a writer is about attuning myself to my body and both the traumas and pleasures that live here.
